gtd healthcare has attended the UK's largest nursing careers and jobs fair to raise awareness of and attract new candidates to join the organisation. The Royal College of Nursing hosted the event, which was held at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Wednesday, 8 February. Richard Shaw, recruitment business partner, said the event was a fantastic opportunity to interact with hundreds of high-calibre, job-seeking nurses and allied health professionals as well as newly registered nurses looking for their first role. "We were delighted to have secured a stand at the event, which was attended by members of the recruitment team to promote opportunities across the organisation, gtd academy to discuss training and development opportunities and senior clinicians to talk through our services and offer interviews, where appropriate,” he said. "Throughout the day the team proactively engaged with newly qualified nurses and discussed phlebotomist and care co-ordinator roles as well as speaking with candidates with specialist interests such as paediatrics and mental health backgrounds." Our clinical staff who attended the event said the day was really positive and the team worked very well together and influenced future nurses. Candidates who visited the organisation's stand said they were the friendliest team there. Andrea Handley, director of nursing and allied health professionals, concluded: "As the directorate has seen considerable growth and significant investments over the past 12 months, attending the event proved to be a great opportunity to raise the organisation’s profile and attract the very best to come and work for us."
