City Health Centre Walk-in Service offers advanced clinical practitioner-led healthcare services for registered and non-registered patients who are visiting, living or working in the area. Patients can access the walk-in centre seven-days-a-week between 8am and 8pm.
The centre is located within Boots the Chemist at the Cross Street Entrance. On arrival please take the lift, which is immediately to your left, to the second floor. The nearest parking is available within the Arndale Shopping Centre.
Patients can access the service via walk-in, telephone or redirected from another service such as NHS 111.
Patients can be treated for minor injuries or illnesses such as cuts, bruises and rashes, coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms, muscle and joint injuries, bites and stings. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please dial 999.
While the service cares for patients with minor illnesses and injuries the team also works with homeless charities, who can contact the team on behalf of service users to arrange a video or telephone consultation, or face-to-face appointment.
A leaflet to help you choose the right service for your healthcare needs is available here.
City Health Centre also operates a GP practice for registered patients. Further information is available here.
